Halloween Special!

We have a surprise Halloween special for everyone!  We have just released Knight vs. Zombies!  This is a FREE app for the iOS (iPhone, iPad, and iPod) to give everyone a preview of the upcoming Fortix 2 iOS release.  Those who have the PC or Mac version might recognize some of the game play from Zombie Mode in Fortix 2.  You can grab it at the app store here!

Dávid works hard on all of the images that we use everywhere. Some people might be wondering how he gets to the final image, so we decided to show you! This image was used to unveil / promote the zombie mode in Fortix II and here is a small step-by-step he created as he was working on the piece.

Capturing the App Store

This morning came with a bit of a surprise for us all, from the internet.  Doing the daily checks of our assets during our morning coffee revealed to us that Fortix II has made it into the "Staff Favorites," on the Mac App Store.  This deserves a small celebration, so........ Huzzah!!

I’ve always liked going to Gamescom. I liked it when it was in Leipzig and I like it even more since it is in Cologne. It is not because of Kölsch, although it certainly has a part in it, but in my opinion it is better than any other game show you can go to.

If You Build It, They Will Come.....

If you make a game, the users will come. More specifically, the Linux users... Everyone wants some entertainment on their platform of choice and we would like to deliver to such requests from the community. We've received a lot of inquiries over the past few months with our releases and upcoming titles from those that are curious about a Linux port. We can finally say, yes! We are going to be porting our titles to Linux to accommodate those who are among the most eager to be gaming on their platform.

Another Game Code Giveaway!

The Mac release is finally here and to celebrate this major platform port, we are going to do another give away! We have plenty of codes ready for our followers. Between today and the 10th of August, we will give out a code for everyone one hundred followers we receive on Facebook and Twitter! To clarify, if we get 70 followers on Facebook and 30 followers on Twitter, then we would give away one key.

With our recent Music Series, we saw quite a nice response to the release of the tracks. So, we thought we would give back to the community even more! You can now download the tracks here on Indie DB. Just go to our downloads section to find the file. Now you can listen to the soundtrack whenever you like, whether you own the game or not!

In other news, some of you might have noticed a lack of updates in the past month but this is not without reason. We have been working on a project that has taken quite a bit of our attention. We have had to keep quite about it most of the time, but we will be able to release more information on that soon. So, stay tuned to our media outlets! Thanks for reading, -Nemesys Team

The Mac Release is Here!

The Mac release is finally here, Huzzah! For those of you who were waiting to get your hands on Fortix II for your Mac, the wait is over. It is available on the two most popular distribution services for games on the net, Steam and the Mac App Store. A demo and a lite version are also available on the respective platforms. You can find the links to purchase the game on those sites here, and here.

Fortix II is coming to Mac!

For those of you who are wating to play Fortix II but couldn't because of the Mac barrier, wait no more! We have ported the game and will have it up for sale on Steam as well as in the Mac App store. If any of you Mac users are looking to try before you buy, a Lite version is joining the Mac release on August 1st in the App store as well.

When you are making a game at some point you should design maps and levels the player will play on. There are many possibilities to do this, but the most convenient is with the use of some kind of editor.

When our management decided to port our game for iPad we knew that the biggest difficulty will be making the game content small enough so that people would be able to download it over a cellular 3G network (without the need to connect to a WiFi). We would like to achieve this without the need of touching the original source PSD files because our graphic artist was already working on our next project.

In my first post, I'll try to outline the process of porting our title (Fortix 2) to a very different platform.  We already have our engine (Nemesys Game Engine) up and running on multiple platforms (Windows, Macintosh, Ps3, PSP). This means, that all of our content and games are automatically exported to applicable formats for these platforms.

We've been working hard on the iPad version of Fortix 2.  Take a look!  This is an early prototype version that we will be bringing to E3.  So, if you are going to be there and want to take a crack at it on our iPad, come find us.

We are now live on Desura!

Fortix 2 has just been released on Desura, so if this is what you've been waiting for, head over to the Desura page now.

Game Code Giveaway! and... E3!

We delving deeper into the digital distribution market with Fortix 2.  The release on Desura and Direct2Drive is soon, and to celebrate we are having a game code giveaway!  To have a chance to win, just "like" us here, on Facebook and you'll be entered to win a game code.  At the end of this week we will check how many followers we have and, give one key away for every 100 followers that we have.

So if you want more chances to win, tell some friends!

We are also getting ready to hit-up E3, this is turning out to be a busy week.

Zombies, Zombies and more Zombies!

They were there the whole time too!  Zombie mode shipped with the initial release of the game, but we decided to keep it hidden for while, like your grandmother and her Easter eggs.  The alternate play mode is easily accessable via mousing over the bird resting on the sword at the title scree, many times in a row.  Afterwords doing this once, it is possible to take the lazy route and use the new button on the bottom right of the screen to switch between Classic and Zombie mode.

Fortix 2 is the second best Html5 game on the web!

Html5examples.net put the online version of Fortix 2 right after Angry Birds the Rovio smash hit as the second best Html5 game out on the internet at this time! The site also says about Fortix Online: "Fortix Online is a cool HTML5 strategy game developed for Microsoft’s HTML5 DevUnplugged competition. Both the artwork and concept is really neat..."
